Jordan Yau

Jordan Yau has extensive professional experience in the fields of graphic design, marketing, communications, and entrepreneurship. He is currently the Marketing Manager at Grow-Tec Marketing Enterprise where he oversees and manages marketing and communication activities for Mothercare and Bebeland since 2016. Additionally, he is the owner and manager of 928 Chicken Rice & Rojak House since 2021.

In terms of education, he earned a BA with honors in Advertising and Public Relations from Thames Valley University in London and earned a Diploma in Advertising, Broadcasting & Multimedia at Limkokwing University College of Creative Technology in Kuala Lumpur.

His career began in 2005 as a Graphic Design Intern at Sunlit Advertising. Shortly after, he became a Graphic Designer and Desktop Publisher at Image Inx. Here, he received special training to operate the company’s HP Indigo 5500 digital printing machine, becoming the 2nd person in Borneo to do so.

From 2008 to 2010, he served as a Senior Graphic Designer at Mixmediaworx, where he managed the workflow of a team of graphic designers while overseeing the quality of creative output. From 2010 to 2016, he founded MadMilk Design & Services, becoming the creative director and managing the development of marketing and communications campaigns for various brands, both local and international. From 2017 to 2021, he was the owner and manager of Koharu Store.

Jordan actively participated in The Brunei Speakers’ Club, receiving the ‘Outstanding Member’ award from the club and the ‘Competent Leader’ award from Toastmasters International. He held the role of Vice President Education in 2015 to 2016 and then progressed to become the Club President of The Brunei Speakers’ Club in 2016 to 2017. Notably, he won 3rd place in The Brunei Speakers’ Club Humorous Speech Contest.
